Make a crossword with your own answers and clues

Enter a title and 3–12 answer-and-clue pairs, one pair per line: ANSWER | Your clue. Each answer needs 2–16 English letters without spaces, accents or punctuation. Each clue can use up to 140 characters. Generation connects every answer into one numbered grid, or explains why this attempt could not fit them. It never quietly leaves an answer out.

Play an original crossword straight away

Garden, Space, Christmas and Halloween each have original ready-to-play clues. Choose a clue, then type letters in the squares. Across and Down lists, previous/next clue controls, arrow keys and crossing-direction changes let you move around the puzzle. Optional checks identify incorrect filled squares; reveal gives the selected letter. Both are recorded as help. There is no timer or lost-life penalty.

Print the exact puzzle and its answers

The A4 PDF includes the blank numbered grid, all its clues and a separate completed answer key. Long clues continue onto another page when needed. Online letters and reveals do not mark the blank printable. Download a puzzle file to transfer the exact grid and your saved letters to another device.

Return to your crosswords

This browser can keep twelve independent puzzles and an editor draft. Saved-puzzle links and favourites reopen a board on this device. Another device needs its puzzle file. A backup restore asks before replacing current letters; clearing or removing a board also asks first. Other puzzles and earned stickers stay. Your custom words and clues are processed locally, without uploading or including them in addresses or gameplay analytics.

Finish Garden, Space, Christmas, Halloween and a custom crossword to collect their five stickers. Replaying a category does not duplicate its sticker. Completion with optional help is still welcome; the board retains its assistance status.
