How to play Christmas matching pairs

Turn over two cards by tapping or clicking them. A matching pair stays face up. If the pictures differ, they turn back over: remember their places for your next turn. Find every pair to finish the board. The clock counts up; there is no countdown or time limit.

Choose your Christmas board

• Easy: six pairs, twelve cards. Start here when playing together or learning where the pictures are.
• Medium: eight pairs, sixteen cards. More places to keep in mind.
• Hard: twelve pairs, twenty-four cards. Every Christmas picture joins the board.

Each fresh board shuffles the pictures. Your unfinished board saves on this browser and device. Use Continue when you come back; starting a new board asks before replacing a saved one. This page shares your Christmas boards and stickers with the main Memory game.

A second way to play: Look & remember

Choose Look & remember in the game menu. Study the face-up Christmas pictures for as long as you like, then hide them. Find the named picture from memory. Use Look again whenever you need another peek. This activity has its own saved boards.

Play together or use a keyboard

Take turns choosing the two cards, or let one person describe a picture while the other selects it. This is a shared board, without separate player scores. On a keyboard, use Tab to reach a card and Enter or Space to turn it over.

Keep your Christmas collection

Finishing each matching difficulty earns its Christmas Memory sticker in your sticker book. You can also draw the same twelve Christmas pictures, adding outlines, details and your own colours.
