About Fun Games Now

Warm, gentle browser games built by a UK SEND tutor - for screen-share sessions with children who deserve calm, focused, ad-free play.

Who built this

Fun Games Now was built by Fearn Robinson - a UK SEND Tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), registered with the Teaching Regulation Agency, and 5+ years of 1:1 experience supporting primary-age children with ADHD, autism, sensory differences, and trauma-related learning needs. She works with families across the UK over screen-share, building bespoke, curriculum-aligned learning plans for children who haven't always found a comfortable fit in mainstream schooling.

Every game on this site started as something Fearn either built or wished she had - a calmer Flappy Bird that doesn't punish a slow reaction, a Snake that grows kindly, a "this or that" deck for children whose voices haven't quite arrived yet, a phonics blender for the Little Wandle phases that uses real recorded sound rather than synthetic text-to-speech.

Who it's for

Fun Games Now is built for three audiences. The shape of every decision is shaped by them, in this order:

  • SEND tutors and therapists running 1:1 screen-share sessions who need a small, dependable library of calm, focused games they can drop into a session without explanations.
  • SLPs, OTs, and early-years practitioners looking for browser-native activities (phonics blends, ten-frame composition, cause-and-effect, turn-taking) that work over Zoom or Google Meet on a child's tablet without an app install.
  • Parents - particularly parents of neurodivergent children - who want screen time that's predictable, ad-free, and doesn't push a child into the next purchase or the next dopamine loop.

What makes the games different

Most kids' game sites are built either for advertisers (mountains of pre-roll ads, in-game purchases, autoplay videos) or for curriculum compliance (worksheets dressed up as games). Fun Games Now sits in a third category: games built first for the regulation and attention profile of a real child sitting in a real session with a real adult.

That means:

  • Forgiving physics and big tap targets. Flap! has a forgiveness window that wouldn't survive on a virality leaderboard but absolutely belongs in a screen-share tutoring session with an anxious child.
  • No ads. Ever. Free games are 100% free with no banners, no autoplay, no "watch a video to continue".
  • Read-aloud and switch-friendly UI. Every game is built keyboard-first; the Which One? decks support binary switch input out of the box.
  • Calm by default. Calm Mode dampens animations and sound. There's a breathing pacer and a feelings check-in for the moments between activities.
  • Real audio, not robot voices. Phonics games use recorded ElevenLabs audio for each phoneme so the sound a child hears is the sound they're learning, not a TTS approximation.

How we make money

Honestly and predictably. The site is supported by a Β£3.99/month Pro subscription that unlocks every game, child profiles, session tools, and cloud-synced stickers. There's a 7-day free trial, no credit card upfront, and you can cancel at any time from the account screen. A handful of games (Snake, Flap!, the animals Which One? deck, Breathing Buddy) are free forever with no signup - partly so the site can earn trust before asking for it, and partly because every classroom should be able to use them without a budget conversation.

We don't take ads, we don't sell data, and we don't run targeted campaigns at children. See the privacy policy for the specifics.
