1. Who's providing this service
Fun Games Now is operated from the United Kingdom. By using the website you're entering an agreement with us; the rest of this document spells out what that means. Contact: hello@fungamesnow.co.uk.
2. Who can use it
- Account holders (tutors, parents, SLT/SaLT, teachers) must be 18 or over.
- The service is designed to be used by an adult with a child during a screen-share or in-person session. Children are not the account holders.
- If you're using Fun Games Now in a professional capacity (paid tutoring), you confirm you have the appropriate parental consent to record children's first names and activity data, and that you act under whatever safeguarding policies your role requires.
3. Free tier and accounts
A guest visitor (no sign-up) can play a curated selection of free games. A free account adds child profiles, cloud-synced stickers, and session history. A paid subscription unlocks every game and feature.
4. The 7-day free trial
- We collect card details before the trial begins so the transition to paid is seamless.
- No charge is taken during the 7-day trial.
- If you cancel before day 7, you're never charged. The card details are released.
- If you don't cancel, your card is charged £3.99 (or your local equivalent — see §5) on day 8 and monthly thereafter.
- You'll receive a reminder email 2 days before the trial ends.
5. Pricing
- Base price is £3.99 GBP per month for a single Pro account.
- Local currency pricing is automatic based on your billing country, e.g. $4.99 USD, €4.49 EUR. The exchange is fixed by Stripe at checkout — you'll see the exact figure before you confirm.
- VAT is included in the displayed price for UK customers. Customers outside the UK may be charged applicable local taxes by Stripe.
- Prices may change. We'll email you at least 30 days before any price increase, and you can cancel before it takes effect with no penalty.
6. Cancelling and refunds
- Cancel anytime from /account → "Manage billing". This opens the Stripe customer portal in a new tab and the subscription stops at the end of your current billing period.
- Cancelling during a trial means you won't be charged at all.
- Cancelling after a charge has been taken doesn't automatically refund — you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. If you'd like a pro-rata refund and have a reasonable case (you signed up by accident, the service didn't work, etc.) email us within 14 days of the charge and we'll consider it. We're a small team and we try hard to do the right thing.
- UK statutory cancellation rights: under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day cooling-off period for distance purchases. By starting your subscription you agree we may begin providing the service immediately, which means you waive your right to that 14-day cooling-off period for any service already delivered. The clearer cancel-anytime language above gives you better terms than the statutory minimum.
- If your subscription was a gift, refund requests should be made by the person who paid.
7. Acceptable use
The service is provided for educational and play sessions with the children you legitimately support. You agree not to:
- Share your account login with other tutors so they can avoid paying. (Multiple child profiles inside one tutor account are fine — that's what they're for.)
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or bulk-download our content without permission.
- Use the service in a way that puts a child at risk or breaches your safeguarding obligations.
- Upload malicious content via free-text fields (support notes, child names).
- Misrepresent who you are or what you'll use the data for.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. Where reasonable, we'll contact you first to give you a chance to resolve it.
8. Service availability
We aim for the service to be available 24/7 but we don't guarantee zero downtime. Routine maintenance, upstream provider outages (Vercel, Supabase, Stripe), and unforeseen incidents may temporarily make the service unavailable. We don't pro-rata refund for short outages — keeping prices low for everyone is the trade-off.
9. Data ownership
- We own the platform, code, designs, and game content.
- You own the children's records, notes, and session history that you create. We process them on your behalf — see the Privacy Policy for the full breakdown.
- If you delete your account, your data and your child records are deleted within 30 days. Stripe billing records are retained as required by UK accounting law (6 years).
10. Liability
Fun Games Now is a tool to help you run sessions; it doesn't replace professional judgement, an EHCP, an SLT plan, or qualified clinical advice. To the extent permitted by law our liability for any loss arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing here limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything that can't be limited under UK law.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change anything that affects your rights or what we charge, we'll email account holders at least 30 days before the change takes effect. You can cancel before it takes effect with no penalty. Minor clarifications and typo fixes are simply published with an updated "Last updated" date.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking to us first goes to the courts of England and Wales.
